About William Yap aka Willwolf

My name is William Yap a.k.a. Willwolf. I’m having a mid-life crisis a middle age guy living in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. 20 years working experience especially in IT industry (hardware and software solutions). I’ve experience in both channel distribution market and direct account management.

I’ve experience in sales, product marketing and management. Product includes AST personal computer, Epson, Canon, NEC & Lexmark printers, MSI motherboard, Labtec speakers, Mediaforte multimedia peripherals, Logitech devices, Apple iPod, Microsoft Windows, Office & input devices, Unigraphics CAD/CAM solutions, SolidEdge, SAINS software solutions, networking solutions, web-hosting, and network securities solutions.

I’ve successfully run and managed P&L for a Singapore based hardware company to operate their Malaysia office with a group of team (which includes A/Cs Dept, Logistic Dept, Technical Dept, Marketing Dept and Sales Dept). From a 2 person company to a 15 person with sales growth from RM1 Million in 1st year to RM15 Million in 3rd year with same product lineup.

I’m well versed in Windows platform but have recently switched to Mac OSX for all my IT needs. My preference as follows:

Operating System : MAC OSX (I’ve yet to try out Microsoft Windows 7 which, in my opinion, the best Windows OS to-date but I’m sticking to Apple)

Document : MS Word (for Mac as I’ve yet to use Pages)

Spreadsheet : MS Excel (for Mac as I’ve yet to use Numbers)

Presentation : Keynote (I’m able to use my iTouch as presenter remote for my presentation and Powerpoint sucks)

Music (listen) : iTunes

Music (create) : Garageband

Photo : iPhoto

Movie (create): iMovie & iDVD

Games : Preference console – Sony PS2 & PSP (still considering PS3 purchase but not XBox 360 as it sucks because of high-failure rate with ring of death)
