Final Fantasy VII Advent Children Complete – Must see … again

Look here. Final Fantasy VII : Advent Children Complete is a new title in Blu-Ray format with FFXIII demo game. It’s in Japanese audio format (sorry, no words on English dubbed availability). If you expect same storyline as the original release then you’re right …. and wrong. It’s a “must see again” for Final Fantasy VII fans and I think it’s also worth watching for non-FF gamers. Why? Reason and maybe spoilers below:
MPH Distributor Warehouse Sale – Don’t Go!!!

MPH is having a warehouse sales from from 28th April until 3rd May 2009 at Ground Floor Warehouse, Bangunan TH, No.5, Jalan Bersatu, Section 13/4, 46200 PJ.
If you’re sensible then please listen to my advise. Don’t go.
Let me count the horrors:
1. Varieties – They have children books, non-fiction books, comic books, classics, fiction, fantasy, self-help, management. So many books until you can’t decide which book you want. Makes you blur-blur
2. Discount – Books at low prices. Example : Bill Clinton’s “My Life” autobiography book at RM19 only. You’ll keep thinking cheap, cheap
3. Bargain price – tons of bargain price books available. You’ll dig out from the bin to look for hidden treasures at bargain price. Dig here, dig there.
4. Money gone – you’ll just pick this book that you wanted, then you’ll pick that book cause it’s cheap, or maybe even this book which looks interesting with low price … maybe this too
5. Carrying few heavy plastic bags – you’ll need stamina of a weight-lifter, carrying those heavy books to your car
Yes, yes. It’s a good bargain. I bought a lot more than usual. Got myself a goodie bags too (limited to 200 customer if spend more than RM200).
Bought some for my kids to read while the rest is mine. Below is the goodies I got which I’m going to give to my kids.
Pro : Variety of books at bargain price
Con : Parking and traffic around the area sucks. Oh yeah, bought lots of book hurt my wallet sucks too.
Spent RM399 overall. My wife is going to kill me …
Newsworthy?

I’m not happy with our local media and the way they report ‘news’. It’s so generic most of the time that even I can make up a few without facts.
Example : On Tuesday afternoon, a female singer, in her 30s, has filed a police report against her ex-manager for sexual harassment in her apartment in Cheras. He, a unemployed 40 year old, forced her to perform oral sex but she has refused his advances.
The above is just an example of what we’ve been seeing in the media. My question : is it because of low quality news, bad reporter, stern editor or being controlled by higher authority?

X-Men Origins: Wolverine – comic vs movie

I have yet to see the X-Men Origins : Wolverine in the cinema (which I’m still susceptible to censorship) but what I want to talk about is comic vs movie storyline. Btw, spoilers ahead or more like questions. You should stop reading if you want to watch and enjoy the movie.

Monkey Girl Falls Sick

Sigh. Tonight we’re planning to celebrate Monkey Girl’s birthday and now she’s having fever. Most likely from throat infection.
Another likely factor is her worrying about sleeping in her bedroom alone. All this time she’s been sleeping with us and we’ve told her it’s about time she sleep alone in her own bedroom when she reached 5 years old. Stressed out? Maybe
Hope her fever goes down before dinner.
Favorite Anime Series

There’s a couple of anime I don’t mind watching repeatedly. My top ten list
10. Slam Dunk – Watching red-haired Hanamichi in basketball action is fun
9. Dragonball – Mix of old Monkey God story with modern/futuristic setting makes it a fresh difference even though this anime is very old. Can’t say the same thing about Dragonball Evolution the Movie.
8. Samurai X – I like the samurai/ex-assassin funny moments and his fight scene. Too bad I don’t like the ending of another Samurai X where he has gotten old and broken down samurai because it just too sad.
7. Ranma 1/2 – Boy changes to girl physically when he’s soaked in cold water makes the whole thing chaotic and funny.
6. Love Hime – Boy who promised to enter Tokyo University with his childhood sweetheart is kind of warmhearted and funny.
5. Samurai 7 – Samurai and robots plus similar storyline to the old 7 Samurai movie. Interesting
4. Full Metal Panic! – Robots, secret army, school girls, what else could you ask for? Very funny anime.
3. Full Metal Panic! Fumoffu – It’s a side story of main anime. Mostly very funny stuff.
2. Naruto – It caught my attention on the very first episode especially the voice acting of Iruka-sensei when he’s protecting Naruto. The only part I dislike is the draggy fight scene, which most of the time, unnecessary and repeated use of kage-bunshin-jutsu.
1. Full-Metal Alchemist – Brotherhood is the main theme. Funny, serious, drama, and epic battle is keeping this tops. Just don’t call Edward “shorty”. Muahaha
House Season 5 Episode 20 Simple Explanation

Meat Loaf guest starred in this episode. Can’t recognise him at first. This aside, there’s one major twist and it was Dr. Kutner. It’s a major surprise. Didn’t even see it coming. There’s no indication from any earlier episode. Don’t want to spoil it for some of you guys.
It’s not a regular episode and that’s for sure. Worth watching
