Finally got back my car

Yesterday, I took a day leave to run some errands. The plan is to renew my driving license (already expired for more than 2 weeks) at JPJ in the morning and do some shopping in the afternoon. Maybe even hang around in a cafe while my wife goes for yoga.
Early morning, I’ve received both sms and call from the service centre and was told that my car is ready to be collected. This round my car went for top-overhaul and some engine sensor replacement. Total injury was RM2K plus.
So, slight change of plan. Get my driving license renewed then go collect my car before shopping spree. I went to Taman Sri Permaisuri to renew my license. There was 20 person waiting time frame which took roughly 20-30 mins.
After that, collect my car in PJ. Also to settle my car’s HP installment. That also took 20-30 mins.
By 12:00pm, I was in 1Utama at Cravings with my wife for lunch. Shop shop shop until 4:00pm then call it a day.
In short, I got my car back!!!
Just got to know about “Eye Floaters”

I have “eye floater” in my left eye and was wondering if it can be removed. Today, I read an article about “eye floater” and found out that it can’t be done easily.
Mine is similar to the above but just one damn floater. For more, please read here

Car out of action for 2 weeks

I’ve sent my car to the Nissan workshop for top overhaul and change sensors. It’s going to take 2 weeks to get it done.
Now I have to find someone willing to fetch me around. Taxi is out of the question because they don’t give a good service. No wonder their reputation sucks.
Monthly meeting and social networking session is a success

Can’t make or receive calls/smses in Hall 2 of MVEC (Maxis only)

The recent concluded iProperty Expo has taught me that there’s one blackhole for Maxis services. Although you can see there’s strong Maxis signal on your phone, you can’t make nor receive calls or sms in certain part of Hall 2.
Because of this, I tried to set call forwarding to my other number but failed as Maxis did not activate this service for me. I thought this feature was given, sigh.
So I’ve called 123 service center on Day 1 of the expo and explained my situation and they’ve activated for me. 2 hours later, still cannot set the call forwarding and so I’ve called back the service center. To cut short the story, after much ding-dong, the only way to activate call forwarding if unreachable is *62*number you want to forward to*11#.
After that, everything’s fine. Lucky I still have my other mobile as back-up.
Day 3 of iProperty Expo

It’s the last day of the expo. If you ask me “How’s the crowd?”, I would reply “Not that fantastic” because my view of the crowd size was distorded if compared with PC Fair crowd. If you ask any property industry people, then their answer is “Great, this is the kind of crowd size we’ve expected.”
Haha. Maybe my expectation is a bit high. Should readjust expectation level. Property is not on FMCG speed level.
